Courses, learning courses, and applications need to be highly organized, delivered in a meaningful manner, and lasted in a reasonable time frame. I’ve seen way too many lessons cram too much information into a brief period. Even the best of us can only effectively absorb new information for only certain periods of time. Why waste your development resources on programs offering nothing towards the corporate targets? Feel good programs are for the summer picnic and winter celebration. This brings us to the sixth reason why many programs fail. I am cheekily likely to refer to this as the ‘what then’ part of several programs. Рrоgrаm mаnаgеr, lіnе suреrvіsоrs, stаkе-hоldеrs tоо оftеn hаvе а ‘whаt thеn’ аррrоасh tо соrроrаtе trаіnіng. These stakeholders know that they need programs, but don’t have any foresight as to how to continue and elevate the applications that their employees attend. When the team has taken the introduction programs, where do they go alongside develop deeper and more meaningful skills in a variety of areas?
Ideally, all training programs should be completely aligned with the corporate objective. This alignment and high correlation provide the largest return on corporate training, ensuring that what is delivered has relevancy, value, and effectiveness to both the employee as well regarding the company. By providing and developing programs which not only support the corporate goals but continuing these applications by delving deeper skills with the company’s employees, many companies and their employees will see a greater return on both the personal and corporate investments.
